New minor at The Ohio State University School of Communication
Health, Environment Risk, & Science Communication Minor will be available to undergraduate students spring semester 2015
COLUMBUS, Ohio— Students at The Ohio State University will who are interested in environmental health communications can turn dreams into reality, as the School of Communication has created the Health, Environment Risk, & Science Communication minor for spring 2015.
The Health, Environment Risk, & Science Communication minor (HERS-COM), examines the complex role and implications of communication in public health, risk and health care science.
Students who choose to pursue the minor will take courses related to crisis, risk and health communication. There is also the option for students to focus on environmental campaigns and communication in science.
Twelve credit hours entail one required introductory course and three electives that students can pick from nine options. Individuals that are interested in HERS-COM can declare the minor through the Ohio State School of Communication starting in January 2015.
