Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of Chobani, took it upon himself to make delicious, natural, nutritious, and accessible Greek yogurt in America.  After buying an abandoned yogurt factory in 2005, Ulukaya founded Chobani. For two years he carefully assembled a team which would include a master yogurt maker to ensure the best quality yogurt. After six years Chobani became the No. 1 Greek Yogurt brand in the US.

Chobani believes that business can be a transformative force for good in the word and that is their goal. Since the beginning of the company Chobani has supported small grassroots organizations all over the world. Today they give 10 percent of all of their profits to The Chobani Foundation. They aim of the foundation is to make food more accessible to all especially youth and the most undeserved communities.

How Chobani Is Made

  • Local sourcing- they get all their milk from regional cows not treated with added growth hormones
  • Authentic Straining- they use an authentic straining process that has been around for generations to make the yogurt extra thick
